The Lyme Nursery School follows the Government's Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. This national curriculum delivers individualized learning, development and care. Every child should be supported individually to make progress at their own pace.
Meals
The Lyme Nursery School enjoys supporting you to have a healthy child. We pride ourselves on providing a great range of healthy home cooked meals that use seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables with a priority of both low salt and sugar. Our menus have been awarded the Healthy Eating Award by the NHS which gives our customers confidence in our commitment to keeping children healthy.
Daily Information Diaries
Parents enjoy taking home children's development and progress diaries each day and reading about their daily activities and general information. Each daily page invites parents to respond ensuring valuable two way partnership between families and Nursery.
Open Door Policy
We encourage our parents to be open and honest with us and discuss any problems or issues that they face. We welcome regular contact between families and Nursery and strive to build relationships according to customers' needs.
Open Evenings
Customers are invited to complete a customer quality of service questionnaire prior to Open Evenings at six monthly intervals which is designed to monitor and maintain a quality standard of service. The Lyme Nursery School Open Evenings enable quality time discussion between parents and carers regarding individual children's development.
Garden, Play and Recreation Facilities

Most children love outdoor play and our nursery's outside play provision offers a delightful range of variety to suit most needs. Our children love to play in our garden.
The Lyme Nursery School has traditional lawns, flowers and shrubs, which attract wildlife - butterflies, birds and squirrels.
A further play area offers a Tudor style maze - leading onto our safe surface play area. This offers a range of climbing equipment, playhouses and slides. The gardens are both secure and peaceful, surrounded by mature trees which offer a pleasant setting for both our children and staff and important shade during hot weather.
We offer FREE dance lessons delivered by a professional teacher; great fun for all children (often boys enjoy it more than girls) and extremely popular with our customers.
