Nicola Beech - Deputy Manager
Nicola started at the Nursery in 2010 after thoroughly enjoying her work experience placement back in 2007. Nicola completed her BTEC National Diploma in May 2010 and has worked here in various roles since then; from being a student experiencing all age groups, being Team Leader of the Toddler and Junior groups, becoming Senior Supervisor getting involved in more managerial tasks to finally working her way up to be the Nursery Deputy Manager. The experience in all these areas means that Nicola adapts well to any role and is often found in the rooms, doing activities she loves such as singing, reading and planning all things creative. After having her own little boy in 2021, Nicola is now even more passionate in childcare and thoroughly enjoys getting involved with all the families too.
All our Early Years practitioners are qualified to NVQ or BTEC childcare standards. We also employ apprentices who are working towards these qualifications. All staff and apprentices are DBS cleared, trained in Safeguarding and hold a paediatric first aid certificate. We have nominated Team Leaders in each room who assume more responsibility and are given further training relative to their roles. We also hold regular staff meetings (after Nursery hours) to strengthen communication between each room and to discuss changes to the EYFS curriculum. We are very proud to have a low turnover of staff, indicating a happy environment at The Lyme Nursery. Children are able to bond well with the same faces, same smiles and same cuddles!
Here at The Lyme Nursery we are committed to ensuring your child is being cared for in a happy, relaxed and stimulating environment aiming to bring out the best in their complete development. Our nursery nursing staff spans four decades of age and experience, providing a rich and valuable cross section of care and understanding for your child's needs. With a portion of our staff being Mums themselves we not only provide the daycare you require, but we can offer help and advice on all aspects of raising young children, such as fussy eaters, sleep patterns, toilet training to name but a few.
