Kelly Sutton - Deputy Manager
Kelly has been an employee of The Lyme Nursery since 1997. She is a BTEC qualified Nursery Nurse with an abundance of experience of Nursery life plus with two children of her own (boy and girl) Kelly has gained a vast amount of skills that she can share here at the Nursery. Kelly's enthusiasm and artistic creativity are qualities that the staff and children worship. She exudes excitement when creating new displays and enjoys gathering the children to help. Baking is another favourite and again the children all help to make a variety of cakes and biscuits on special occasions. Kelly supports Sabrina in the management and delivery of EYFS.
We employ approximately 25 staff here at The Lyme Nursery. All Nursery Nurses are qualified to NVQ or BTEC Childcare standards. We also employ apprentices who are working towards these qualifications. All staff and apprentices are DBS cleared, trained in Safeguarding and hold a paediatric first aid certificate. We have nominated Team Leaders in each room who assume more responsibility and are given further training relative to their roles. We also hold regular staff meetings (after Nursery hours) to strengthen communication between each room and to discuss changes to the EYFS curriculum. We are very proud to have a low turnover of staff, indicating a happy environment at The Lyme Nursery. Children are able to bond well with same faces, same smiles and same cuddles!
